ABOUT Originally established in 1988 as a Traditional Signwriter in the Bookham, Surrey area Wendy Ray has relocated her signwriting business to Lambs Green, Rusper, Horsham, West Sussex. She says: Using a palette, hard wearing enamel paints and a mahl stick I hand paint signs for all manner of businesses, including organisations and private clients. Though traditional signwriting is now viewed as an ancient skill it certainly has its place in the digital world we now live in, particularly in conservation areas where the architectural and historical nature of shops and premises is to be restored and preserved.
