SERVICES
The Sign
Traditional methods and craftsmanship are employed
in creating the sign itself from new and I will
usually favour fine quality timber though I have
written on just about every surface imaginable
including, plastic, mdf, glass, perspex,
foamex, walls, aluminium etc. Where possible
I will endeavour to re-use exisiting signs and
give them a complete restoration thereby saving on
costs. Properly treated exterior plywood and
weathershield paint will last a good 10 years and
I can offer the widest range of background colours
including the more subtle Heritage range if
preferred.
The Signwriting
All my signs are hand painted with quality sable
brushes and specialist signwriting enamels.
I use 23½ ct
Gold Leaf where appropriate for high end work
which has an incomparable beauty, brilliance and
durability. I have inherent design skills offering
a complete understanding of the composite nature
of a sign and employ this naturally without any
hidden design costs.
The Cost
Traditional Signwriting is a precise and often
labour intensive skill and you might assume that
it is not cheap. However, please
remember that I have no expensive machinery or
software to maintain so with such low overheads
you will be pleasantly surprised at just how keen
I can be on price in comparison with alternative
computer generated signage.

The Experience
As a self taught professional signwriter for over
15 years I am extremely exacting with all my work
whether for large organisations or smaller
enterprises and individuals. I enjoy finding the
most creative solutions for the work involved and
to ensure my customers receive the best possible
experience themselves in choosing to use my
skills.
I have worked closely with all my clients,
including The National Trust, Mole Valley District
Council (Enhancement to Commercial Premises
Scheme) and more recently The Amex Stadium.
Most of my work comes through recommendation but I
welcome all new enquiries from my website.
I would like to thank all my numerous delighted
customers who are enabling the signwriting
tradition to stay alive and well.
